With a long list of accomplishments like this at the age of only 14, one might be surprised to hear it was all done in a helmet.

Kylar Terlip has seen first hand the horror of watching a horse fall and step on it’s riders head… Thankfully, a helmet was on and that life was saved. That was the event that convinced Kylar to put on a helmet and since May of 2008 she has always worn one.

It was just a year later that Kylar put her helmet to good use when she had her horse fall down with her and hit her head. “My helmet saved me from possibly having a head injury. I hit so hard my whole forehead was swollen.”

-Tell us a little about yourself and your fantastic team!
"I was on my first horse before I could walk. I started barrel racing at "big shows" when I was 8!

I have 3 main horses:
-Fire Powered Jet. He is 20, and I plan to only run him for about one more month. He's a very sweet horse and have made most of my success on him.
-Make No Assumptions. He is a 5 year old that Ryann Pedone trained. He's a big goof ball.
- Special Zippindale. He is 10 and one of those horses that would just like to be left alone and do his job!"

-Future Goals?
"I would like to qualify for the NFR and then start training futurity horses.

I want to join and spread the word that you can be proud to wear a helmet!"
